What do the non-surgical facelift treatments feel like? Do the procedures hurt?
A: You may experience a mild, brief pinching sensation when each pulse of light is delivered from the laser for dark spots. The laser for skin rejuvenation is actually gentle and soothing. During this portion, you will feel a series of warm pulses along your skin. The laser for skin tightening can produce a fleeting heating sensation following the initial cooling feeling. Each laser is mild and no anesthesia or pain medicine is required. Some patients feel comfortable taking an over-the-counter pain reliever, such as aspirin, which can also eliminate any swelling. What happens after a laser skin rejuvenation treatment?
A: Immediately following a treatment, the skin may have a slightly flushed appearance similar to how you look after a facial. Sometimes sun spots will darken for about 16-24 hours before they begin to fade.
