Do you ever look at yourself in the mirror and wish that your face had a more even tone? That it was cleaner and more hydrated? If you answered yes, you may want to consider microdermabrasion. This non-invasive treatment gently exfoliates your skin. After a series of treatments, your complexion will appear smoother, brighter and more even in color, which is why microdermabrasion is one the most popular procedures at our Vancouver laser and skin care center. I’m planning my wedding for spring and it’s made me think about how I want to look on my big day and, in particular, how I want my skin to appear. My photos are one the most important components to me since, after all, they’re one of the few things I get to keep (aside from the memories and dress, of course). With all of the planning and spending, I don’t want dull skin, blemishes or dark under eye circles to ruin my hard work. Now that I’ve realized my wedding is only seven months away, I’ve put together a treatment plan. Some of my skin concerns are fairly common, so I’ll share my wedding skin care plan first before offering a roadmap for treating other skin conditions prior to saying, “I do.”
Our skin is our largest organ and the only one directly tied to how we look. Just like the rest of the body, it needs nutrients to thrive. A question we often hear at our Vancouver laser clinic is: What are the best vitamins for skin health? Well, we’ve got you covered with our guide to the essential vitamins the skin needs for longevity and, of course, to look amazing.
For those of us who invest in feeling good in our own skin, sometimes finding the right treatment plan is more challenging than doing the actual work. There’s a lot of buzz around what celebrities are doing and it’s very obvious that a few have had some work done. But there are celebrities who look natural and seem to appear younger the older they get. If you’re anything like me, you want to know what their beauty secret is to give it a try. So, here it is…they get laser facials on the regular.
When nail fungus rears its ugly head it can be a seriously frustrating problem. It begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the fungal infection goes deeper, nail fungus may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and crumble at the edge. It can affect several nails and sometimes even spread. To make matters worse, it’s tricky to treat and there doesn’t seem to be one solution for all. If left alone and not treated, it’s unlikely to get better. If you’re not bothered by it, you might decide it’s not worth treating since treatment can take a long time, may cause side effects and isn’t always effective. If it does concern you, we’ll help you identify a few ways you can restore clear, healthy nails.
About 7 months ago, local beauty and style blogger Chelsea who runs one of our favourite blogs decided to embark on a laser hair removal journey. Since that time, her readers have been asking questions about her experience and more broadly about laser hair removal. Today we answer those questions over at her blog.
Another amazing Vancouver beauty blogger, Jayne Lim, writer extraordinnaire of Cosmetic Proof has taken the plunge to see how great Laser Hair Removal treatments can be. Check out part 1 of her write-up about her experience.
You guys know I like the science behind things and that is EXACTLY what Ellie did. She got out her Ipad and drew diagrams of the epidermis and explained in a completely approachable way how hair normally grows and how laser prevents future hair growth. The consultation alone instantly made me feel better about the whole process!
